An Introduction about

Vanathi Srinivasan

She is a native of Coimbatore and comes from a farming background. Her initial education was completed at Coimbatore, and she completed her upper education in Covai and Chennai. In 1993, she began her legal career at Chennai High Court. She started concentrating primarily on her political career once she entered active politics and ran in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections twice (in 2011 for Mylapore, Tamil Nadu, and in 2016 for Coimbatore South, Tamil Nadu).

Vanathi Srinivasan has been associated with BJP for almost three decades since 1993 and has held various key positions within the party. She was appointed as National President of Mahila Morcha, the Women’s Wing of BJP in October 2020.

She recently won in the Coimbatore – South constituency defeating MNM party founder and actor Kamal Haasan, in May 2021; this is her first stint as an MLA in Tamil Nadu.
